I'll be looking forward to the responses towards this question and hopefully someone has thought of or is contemplating this just as I am now. The only problem that I can currently think of is the overall size of the Black Tokyo Roki BRZ Oil Filter and possible interference / tight clearance due to the area that it is mounted. If anyone knows if the Black Tokyo Roki BRZ Oil Filter works without any problems and filters the oil just as well if not more efficiently / better than the Blue Honeywell / Fram Oil Filters for the WRX / STi, then please, by all means respond to this thread. Unfortunately, the batteries in my micrometer are dead, so tomorrow I plan on measuring the overall dimensions of both oil filters in addition to the diameter and thickness of the rubber gasket and diameter and depth of the threaded area where the filter screws into the oil cooler to see if they are identical ( in regards to the mounting surface ) and if the Tokyo Roki BRZ Oil Filter will fit onto the Oil Cooler on my V7 EJ207. The parts department is in the basement of the building, so I figured to shoot the breeze with the guy for a while as he was pretty knowledgeable, super nice, and he ended up giving me a great discount, pretty much cost on both oil filters and crush rings. Now I stopped at the local Subaru dealership on the way home and spoke with the parts guy for a while.
